Dramatic key page 17 original artwork for Superman Vol. 2 #12 (DC, 1987) by the super talented John Byrne (pencils) and Karl Kesel (inks). This piece represents a key scene from the story, "Lost Love" where the villain of the tale, Hans Schmidt tries to murder Clark Kent's very first love interest Lori Lemaris, who turns out to be a mermaid. Intense romantic drama in the classic DC tradition - just the way we love it!

Tremendous layout and dynamic detail for this key issue by one of the most talented and celebrated artists of the late Bronze and Modern-Age of comic books. Fully fresh piece of art, which has been kept away in a private collection for several decades and has not seen the light of day nor been offered on the open market until now.

Artwork is in excellent condition with image size measuring approx. 10" x 15." Signed by inker Karl Kesel in bottom margin.
